Workspaces

Manage workspace plans, resources, teammates, and shared usage

A workspace holds its own plan, resources, API keys, usage, and memberships. All workspaces use the same model. Free, Lite, and Pro include one seat; Elite includes five seats, including the owner.

Your first workspace is created during onboarding. Retrying setup or checkout resumes that workspace. An invited teammate joins the invited workspace without creating another one.

Upgrade your workspace

Open Settings → Billing to manage the active workspace's plan. Upgrading from Pro to Elite unlocks team seats in that same workspace. Its profiles, reports, keys, projects, and billing history stay with it. Only the owner can manage billing.

An Elite workspace can have an approved higher seat allowance. Contact Y2 to arrange expansion. Additional seats do not multiply the workspace's credits, profiles, Automations, or API limits.

Switch or create workspaces

Use the workspace menu in the app sidebar to switch. Each entry shows its name, plan, and your role. Settings → Workspace also shows seat usage and lets owners and admins rename it.

To create a separate workspace, select New workspace and enter a name of 2–80 characters. It starts on Free with its own resources and billing. Upgrade that workspace to Elite to invite teammates. Creating it does not copy another workspace's subscription or data.

Switching changes which workspace the app reads and writes. It does not move resources. Suspended memberships do not appear in the switcher. If no accessible workspace remains, the app lets you create one before continuing.

Invite teammates on Elite

  1. Switch to the workspace and open Settings → Members.
  2. An owner or admin creates an invitation for an email address and an admin, member, or viewer role.
  3. The recipient signs in with the matching verified email and requests access.
  4. A workspace owner or admin approves the request. The recipient can then use that workspace.

The owner, active members, and unexpired pending invitations must fit within the seat allowance. An invitation reserves a seat; suspended members do not. Owners and admins can revoke invitations. Owners can change non-owner roles or remove members. A non-owner can leave the workspace.

Role requirements also depend on the resource. Owners and admins can manage workspace profiles; members can write profiles they created; viewers cannot write profiles. Projects and Automation definitions remain private to their owner. Governance access does not grant access to another member's private Project content.

Seat limits and downgrades

When a workspace moves to a one-seat plan, the owner keeps access and other memberships are suspended. Their membership records remain available for restoration. Returning to Elite restores members in a deterministic order up to the available seat allowance.

A downgrade applies only to that workspace. Moving to Free or Lite pauses profiles beyond the new allowance while preserving their ownership and privacy. Resources in other workspaces are unaffected.

Governance and shared limits

On Elite, owners and admins can open Settings → Governance to review the shared Agent Y2 credit pool, usage by member, API keys, and recent audit records. Credit attribution does not create separate allowances for each member. Activity units are informational and are not Agent Y2 credits.

The audit log includes membership actions and material Project and Automation changes. It is not a complete log of every report, chat message, model call, or API operation.

Pro and Elite support workspace API keys. Owners and admins manage them; requests use the workspace associated with the key. Rotating keys or adding members does not multiply request limits or credit allowances. See Plans and limits for current allowances.

Delete a workspace

An owner or admin can delete an empty workspace from Settings → Workspace by typing its name. The checklist identifies billing subscriptions and dependent resources that must be resolved first. Deletion removes the workspace and its memberships, invitations, audit records, and rate counters. Users with another accessible membership can continue there.

Account deletion also checks workspace ownership. An account that owns a workspace with other members must resolve that shared ownership before its billing or account can be removed.
