CVE-2026-77153
IBM i is Affected By Missing Authorization Vulnerability in Host-Based Printer Subsystem []
IBM i 7.6, 7.5, 7.4, and 7.3 could allow a remote unauthenticated attacker to obtain sensitive information from the Host-Based Printer Subsystem due to no authorization check. A bad actor could use this vulnerability to print files they should not be able to access.
Fixes and workarounds
Fix
When using Access Client Solutions (ACS) to create Telnet printer sessions, version 1.1.9.15 or later must be installed for interoperability after applying the Host-Based Printer Subsystem PTFs. Failure to update to a compatible ACS application version will result in being unable to connect via telnet for printing. The current version of the ACS application can be viewed by clicking the 'About' link under the 'Help' tab in ACS. View each PTF's cover letter for the additional actions required prior to installation. For agents and automation
Read public disclosures for free as Markdown or JSON. Compatible browsers also expose native WebMCP tools to search disclosures, read this page, and discover API access.
Use the ontology-linked Cyber API with x402 pay per request, or a Y2 Pro or Elite API key with the intel:cyber scope.

A workspace owner or admin can create a Pro or Elite API key. Send Authorization: Bearer <Y2_API_KEY> from your trusted agent runtime.
For x402, omit Authorization and read the HTTP 402 payment challenge before signing a retry. Public browser tools do not make payments.
