CVE-2022-30267
Emerson Ovation Insufficient Verification of Data Authenticity
Emerson Ovation was found to have no authentication of firmware signing and relies on an insecure checksum for integrity. This could allow an attacker to push malicious firmware images, cause a denial-of-service condition, or achieve remote code execution.
Fixes and workarounds
Fix
Emerson recommends the following: * Upgrade to the currently available release of Ovation 3.8.0 Feature Pack 3 for remediation of many of the identified vulnerabilities. * Users are advised to consider the use of OCR3000 controllers, which offer an extra layer of protection that is not available to older controller models. * Deploy and configure Ovation systems and related components as described in the Cybersecurity for Ovation Systems manual (OVREF1000). Ovation Users' Group Website (User Manuals | Reference Manuals) https://www.ovationusers.com/ (login required) * Users with questions or concerns regarding the impact of these vulnerabilities on Ovation should contact the Ovation-CERT by email or phone (1-800-445-9723, option 3).

For agents and automation
Read public disclosures for free as Markdown or JSON. Compatible browsers also expose native WebMCP tools to search disclosures, read this page, and discover API access.
Use the ontology-linked Cyber API with x402 pay per request, or a Y2 Pro or Elite API key with the intel:cyber scope.

A workspace owner or admin can create a Pro or Elite API key. Send Authorization: Bearer <Y2_API_KEY> from your trusted agent runtime.
For x402, omit Authorization and read the HTTP 402 payment challenge before signing a retry. Public browser tools do not make payments.
